Hatteras 2002

For many years, fishing mentor Fred Peebler of St. Charles IL, has joined me to fish at Cape Hatteras, Hatteras Inlet, the beach behind the Sea Gull Motel in Hatteras village, Frisco Pier, and a charter or two.  We were joined this year by Ken Kayser of Roanoke VA.

New Waders

FastEddy in his new Glacier Glove waders. I've struggled for many seasons in cheap plastic waders, trying to plug seam rips with ShoeGoo, all the while getting my feet wet. My new waders are a dream, high under the armpits with body hugging safety elastic, and no leaks. Dry feet. Hurrah!

Fast Eddy and Sheepshead

The bighest of the three, this fish had been hooked prior and snapped the line, had a sinker and two hook rig dangling from its mouth, and I snagged the dangling gear, fish didn't bite my hook.

Ray

The reason be known. Rays were also being taken on Frisco Pier, a nuisance. So you think it's a skate? Click here for the distinction.
